We’ve all read and perhaps often quoted the statement, “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll have what you’ve always had.” It’s true. You and I know people who want to lose some major weight and yet they keep eating the same types and quantities of food and do the same amount of exercising (none) and yet believe that they will lose one, two, or three clothes sizes in the near future. People who lose weight get out of their comfort zone and begin to do things that are uncomfortable so that they can obtain their goal. If you want to see different results, you’ve got to do things differently.

Are you comfortable in your ministry? Or, are you tired of seeing what you’ve been seeing? How dissatisfied are you? Enough to begin to take bold steps of faith and move out of your comfort zone? Jesus-Peter-Walking-on-Water-1024x610

For those of you who have been saying, “Well, I’m just waiting on God”, I’m here to say that He has been waiting on you. You know His heart. You know His desire. So, do something. Take action. Be bold. Be courageous. Cast aside the “what ifs” and dare to get out of the boat of comfort and security and place your feet on the waters knowing that you’ve heard the Master’s voice.

One more thought … walking on the water isn’t gigantic. It’s quite simple. All that it takes to escape the comfort zone is to place one foot out of the boat. Then, it’s a no-brainer to take the next action and place the other foot out of the boat. Simple? Yep. It all begins with movement. You’ve got to do something.

Forgive me for preaching to myself. I needed to read what I’ve written in this blog post. Hopefully you also needed it.
