29 Dec TODAY is the Day!

I love the reality that you have joined along with people from other countries to read this blog post. My latest report shows that people from 52 countries have read at least one of my blog posts in the last 30 days. These include countries like Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Panama, Israel, Colombia, Philippines, Peru, Romania, Hong Kong, Brazil, Italy, United Kingdom, South Africa, France, Bangladesh, Spain, Australia, Mexico, and India. This shows me that there is a hunger for an outpouring of God's Spirit and that people are looking to join together with fellow Holy Ghost igniters! I love what the Word says about our children being a part of this great outpouring ...

22 Dec Do You Know Your Potential?

Are you ready for a major shift in your ministry? I guarantee that the shift will come when you wrap your brain around this simple yet powerful thought. Ready? Here it is. Satan is more convinced about your potential than you are. What does Satan see when you walk into your ministry opportunity each week? He sees a person that is: A child of the almighty God Blood-bought and carrying the benefits purchased by Jesus' blood Ready to deliver the  all-powerful, unwavering Word of God (a Word that all of heaven is watching over to perform) Empowered and guided by the Holy Spirit Accompanied by angels anxiously awaiting deployment Both heaven and hell know your potential. You've been the one in the dark. For far too long, you've underestimated what can happen. Because of your potential, Satan has a panic attack when he sees you starting to minister. When you step into your assignment, Satan starts screaming uncontrollably and then in sheer fear tweets his imps and demons to notify them that you are back on the scene. He knows that you with the backing of heaven can change the course of history. So, now that you know, it's time to raze hell. Walk into your ministry assignment expecting the almighty God to walk into the assignment with you. Expect Him to back His Word. Expect lives to be changed. Expect the Holy Spirit to show you things that only He can see. Expect signs, wonders, and miracles. Expect the enemy to flee. One brief note to bring balance. Before you get "full of yourself", let me remind you that none of this has ANYTHING to do with you. ALL of your potential is found in "Christ in you, the hope of glory". Now go step into your assignment....

15 Dec Quit? Are You Kidding Me?

I know that I'm not alone when I say that there have been times when I've been tired and tired of being tired. Can you identify with this? If you've worked in any type of ministry for any length of time, it is easy to want to just give up. You've been in the same church and in the same classroom doing the same thing week after week, month after month, year after and year and you are (to use Southern vernacular) just slap worn out. It would be so easy to just turn in your resignation and make your years of ministry a distant memory. You've paid your "dues". Now, it's time for someone else to do what you've done. I'll admit, I've been there ...

08 Dec Let’s Make History

Some blog postings require sentence after sentence and paragraph after paragraph in order to share my thought. Here's a thought that only takes a few words. It's taken from a brief quote from one of my favorite preachers, Leonard Ravenhill.   "I'm sick and tired of (only) reading about church history; let's make (some) by the grace of God!" ~ Leonard Ravenhill   Powerful! History books are waiting for the exploits that God will do in and through you. Now, go start making church history by turning off your computer, connect with the Holy Spirit, and then go do something. The two always go hand and hand. Connect, do something. Connect, do some more. So, quit reading this blog and start making history!...

01 Dec The “Somebody” of Revival

I often have people ask me why is there no mighty move of God in their ministry. We know that it's their desire and probably the desire of everybody working alongside of them. But, reality is, it's just not there. The answer is quite simple. Let me give it to you through a simple story.   This is a story about four people named EVERYBODY, SOMEBODY, NOBODY, and ANYBODY.   There was an important job to be done and EVERYBODY was sure that SOMEBODY would do it. ANYBODY could have done it, but NOBODY did it. SOMEBODY got angry about that because it was EVERYBODY'S job. EVERYBODY thought ANYBODY could do it, but NOBODY realized that EVERYBODY wouldn't do it. It ended up that EVERYBODY blamed SOMEBODY when NOBODY did what ANYBODY could have done.   Did the story give the answer to the question posed by so many? Moves of God always begin with an individual. In other words, it always begins with SOMEBODY. That SOMEBODY doesn't have to a person of leadership or some aged, spiritual giant. It can be ANYBODY. But, sadly, EVERYBODY is waiting on SOMEBODY to pay the price to open the windows of heaven. Consequently, because NOBODY is paying that price, the windows remain shut.   After sharing the story with these individuals, I always answer their question with a question. Are they willing to be that person? Again, revival always begins with a person, not a committee. It begins with one.   My question to you is, will you be that person? And, lastly, if not now, then when? My prayer for you is, "Lord, let there be a mighty outpouring of your Spirit and may it begin with the person reading this blog. May that outpouring begin today. I ask it in the precious name of Jesus. Amen!"...
