As we say here in Texas, howdy partner! This blog post today is a Holy Spirit lover (that’s me) checking in on other Holy Spirit lovers (that’s you) around the world. I know that you are one of those “turn the world upside down” (Acts 17:6) people busy doing the work of the Master!
I want to take just three minutes of your time today to give you an assignment. It is super simple. It is definitely not time-consuming. It is most assuredly a “Thank you, Billy. I love your great idea” email producer.
Here is the assignment. It is an easy three-step job.
- Grab a bunch of Post-It Notes and a marker,
- Print the following on individual Post-It Notes,
- Post the notes around your home.
Here is what you will need to print:
- Perfect Prayer Enabler (Romans 8:27)
- Heaven’s Delivery System (Ephesians 3:16)
- Enemy Confuser (1 Corinthians 14:2)
- Forever Companion (John 14:16)
- Me Betterer (1 Samuel 10:6)
- Greater Works Launcher (John 14:12)
- Weakness Bypasser (Romans 8:26)
- Body Quickener (Romans 8:11)
- Joy Deliverer (Romans 14:17)
- Directions Confirmer (Acts 15:28)
- Supernatural Advantage Giver (John 16:7)
- Heaven’s Secrets Revealer (John 16:13)
- Memory Refresher (John 14:26)
What is the purpose of the notes? As you walk through your home and see a note, the message on the note will serve as a reminder of the Holy Spirit’s present-day ministry in and through you. Just imagine walking into your kitchen to get a “much-needed” snack and seeing “Perfect Prayer Enabler (Romans 8:27)” posted on your refrigerator. Instantly, you will be reminded that “… the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will.” (Romans 8:27, Amplified Bible). This provides an excellent opportunity for you to say, “Holy Spirit, according to Romans 8:27, you are my perfect prayer enabler. Thank you for helping me to pray the perfect will of God for this particular situation” and then begin to pray in the Spirit about that need. Or, walking into your restroom to brush your teeth and seeing “Heaven’s Delivery System (Ephesians 3:16)” posted on your mirror. What an incredible reminder that “May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].” (Ephesians 3:16, Amplified Bible). This should cause you to rejoice and then declare “Holy Spirit, according to Ephesians 3:16, you draw from the immeasurable riches of heaven and deliver into my spirit exactly what is needed.”
One more thing about this list. It is far from being complete. I personally have over 30 “Holy Spirit, you are my …” entries on my list. Add to the list.
Now, go, get to work on the assignment.
