What’s Your Story?

We've come a long way from the days when Vickie and I first started in children's ministry back in the late 1970's. Over the last almost 40 years, we've replaced the left-over Sunday school Bible story visual aids with incredible television-quality video stories, our old upright piano has been replaced with either full praise and worship bands or unbelievable DVDs, lackluster rooms have disappeared and are now replaced with rooms showcasing a Walt Disney-quality ambiance, and, for the most part, highly trained volunteers now fill the rolls once occupied by the whosoever-will-come-fill-a-spot...

Do I Have To?

Here's a mind-blowing, earth-shattering revelation ... we must change our "have-to" mentality into a "get-to" mentality in order to open the door for God to do bigger, better things in both us and our ministry. Reality is that I have to part with a favorite shirt that is too faded or has too many holes or rips. Then there's also the ultimate "oh-no" factor. I have to try on clothes to see if they "shrunk" while hanging in my closet. This cleaning out the closet process forces me to admit that I can't squeeze...
