Certifiably Crazy?

Certifiably Crazy?

Be forewarned. This post will either have you thinking, "Are you really serious?" or "Billy, go for it!". I don't think that there's any room in the middle for what I am about to share. Here goes. I have thought and thought some more about the possibility of one day standing up in one of our Holy Spirit Rallies on a Sunday morning and opening up my Bible to read... "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8 (New King James Version) After reading the verse, I would again boldly read... "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8 (New King...

Healing is Ours TODAY

Healing is Ours TODAY

For the past several weeks, I have had an unshakable stirring in my spirit concerning what God's Word has to say about divine healing. I know that I can't be alone in sensing this prompting. The need for believers to obtain what has been appropriated by Christ for them is great. But sadly, it's a subject that isn't mentioned too often in today's pulpits. While I could and perhaps should post blog after blog after blog to share about God's great desire to heal His children, I want to simply share what God's Word has to say about divine healing and then what I call healing nuggets written by...

The Bible Way

The Bible Way

Some time ago, I heard about a pastor from a denominational church who while on his vacation visited a church that was hosting something similar to one of our Holy Spirit Rallies. After hearing the message about the power of the Holy Spirit and seeing Him demonstrate His presence, the pastor responded to the invitation for those desiring to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. The asking for and receiving of heaven's gift were glorious. (Luke 11:13; Acts 2:39) His personal Pentecost launched a power-packed, changed man back into his ministry assignment. (Acts 1:8) Upon returning from his...

Charged and Ready

Charged and Ready

Last night, it happened again. I am almost embarrassed to admit this mistake. Remember, I am only human. I pray that this confession won't cause you to take me off of the high and lofty pedestal on which you have placed me. (That's just a joke, folks!) Here's my shortcoming. Last night, I was so, so, so tired that I failed to place my iPhone on its charger as I was going to bed. It was a horrible, egregious mistake. But I take comfort in these three facts. It's not the first time that this has happened and I lived through it. It's not going to be the last time that it will happen. And the...

A Miracle!

A Miracle!

Ready to see a miracle? A miracle? Yep. In less than two hundred words, I'll summarize last Sunday's message that took many, many words to share. I've got my word counter turned on. So here I go. One of my all-time favorite scriptures is... "Most assuredly, I say unto you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." John 14:12 (NKJV) For us to do the same and greater kind of works, we need to see how Jesus did what He did. Note - It wasn't due to His deity. Philippians 2 tells us that He became as we are....
