Let me tell you up front that you will need to be seated before you read the next sentence. Here it is …

“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the action of His power
that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly,
far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers,
desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams].”
Ephesians 3:20 (The Amplified Translation)

I absolutely love this verse because it reminds me that God is able to do far above anything that my peanut-sized brain can dream or imagine. No prayer that I can pray is outside of His ability. It’s not a stretch of His power to accomplish these prayers, desires, hopes, or dreams.

Why am I writing this blog post? Many people walk into their ministry assignments with absolutely no expectations or dreams. It’s just another “obligation” to fulfill. And, the sad reality is that they get exactly what they expect. No expectations, no results.

dare

Let’s change our level of expectancy so that we can allow that power that is at work within us to superabundantly, far and above all that we [dare] ask or think to radically impact those in our ministries. It’s possible … only to those who dare. So, to use a Southern colloquialism, I double-dog dare you to ask or think. And, don’t just ask or think … ask or think BIG. God is waiting on the challenge!
