Here is a powerful quotation from John Osteen, one of my spiritual heroes.
“I don’t care whether it upsets my doctrine or not, I’m going to stay with the Bible no matter who it separates me from or who it identifies me with.” Taken from “Overcoming Hindrances to Receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit”
In a day where many flounder back and forth, not knowing what to believe, I have a simple yet powerful word for you. FIND OUT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS AND STICK WITH IT. Honestly, it doesn’t matter what your denomination, pastor, Bible college professor, friend, doctrinal handbook, parents, “Christian” television program, best-selling author, or daily devotional (should I keep going?) has to say, FIND OUT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS AND STICK WITH IT. Know that your Teacher (AKA Holy Spirit) is ready to illuminate and guide (Psalm 119:106,130) and bring resolution (Luke 1:38), causing questions and confusion to disappear. READ and STICK!
