According to Dictionary.com, the definition of the word rob is:
1. to take something from (someone) by unlawful force or threat of violence; steal from
2. to deprive (someone) so some right or something legally due
3. to plunder or rifle (a house, shop, etc.)
4. to deprive of something unjustly or injuriously
Here’s an ALL POINTS BULLETIN that is possibly being broadcasted throughout the heavenlies about a robbery going on in our city. To be more accurate, the ALL POINTS BULLETIN is saying that the robbery is being committed week after week in our churches. To zero in even further, it is happening in our classrooms. How could that be? I’m glad that you asked.
THE ROBBERY: The children/youth in our classes are having the possibility of a Holy Spirit-launched, Holy Spirit-sustained, Kingdom-advancing life stripped from them. They are being deprived of something that has is rightfully due them. (Joel 2:28-29; Acts 2:39). Their future for being an inductee into the Hall of Giants of the Faith is being wrongfully plundered. At great risk to their lives, heaven’s Safeguard, the Holy Spirit, is pushed away each week thus opening the door for unnecessary harm and injury.
THE CULPRIT: We as leaders and our leadership team. When we as the Sunday school teacher, children’s church leader/worker, mid-week Bible club leader/worker, student ministry leader/worker fail to give children/youth the opportunity to know and flow with the Holy Spirit, we literally rob them and keep them from being all that they can and should be for the Kingdom. Failing to have the opportunity to have a divine encounter with the Holy Spirit by being baptized in the Spirit and launching a daily relationship with Him strips away the very Gift that heaven has freely given to launch our children/youth into being world shakers and history makers.
THE REWARD: As we immediately arrest and remove this thief, we will have children/youth leave our classrooms filled to overflowing with God’s Spirit and power. All of hell will take note of these signs and wonders producing children/youth.
