In the last blog post, I ended the post with – “It is so difficult to end this blog post. There are so many more powerful nuggets that I want to share. So, guess what…I’ll share just a few more in the next post.” I promised and now I’m delivering on that promise. Here are nine more powerful Holy Spirit nuggets from my quotation files.

Reinhard Bonnke  “No word in the New Testament suggests that we do not need what the apostles had, or that what they had could be only for them.” Bonnke, Reinhard Holy Spirit – Revelation and Revolution (Orlando, FL: E-R Productions LLC, 2007), 44.

Reinhard Bonnke  “There is no non-miracle Holy Spirit.” Bonnke, Reinhard Taking Action: Receiving and Operating in the Gifts and Power of the Holy Spirit. (Lake Mary, FL: Charisma House, 2012), 20.

Willard Cantelon “If the very purpose of God in providing the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is to empower men to carry on His work, then this power is essential so long as the work of Christ goes on.” Cantelon, Willard The Baptism of the Holy Spirit: Speaking with God in the Unknown Tongue (Plainfield, NJ: Logos International, 1971), 11.

Willard Cantelon “If speaking in tongues is in the Bible (and it is), it must be there for a purpose.” Cantelon, Willard The Baptism of the Holy Spirit: Speaking with God in the Unknown Tongue (Plainfield, NJ: Logos International, 1971), 22.

Charles Parham “You will never have a real experience of the Holy Ghost and be popular with the world, the flesh, and the devil.” Parham, Robert L. Selected Sermons of the Late Charles F. Parham and Sarah E. Parham (Baxter Springs, KS: Apostolic Faith Bible College, 1941), 70.

John Osteen “The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is God’s method of clothing His people with power to destroy the works of darkness.” Osteen, John Overcoming Hindrances to Receiving the Baptism in the Holy Spirit (Houston, TX: John Osteen Publication, 1987), 10.

Lester Sumrall “The majority of people throughout Church history never move beyond their first blessing from God – the salvation experience. When John Wesley began to preach sanctification – the cleaning up and discipline of your life – many denominations did not even look around. They said, “We’ve already got it all.” Once the average believer gets in a groove, that is exactly where he or she dies. We are creatures of habit. We move ahead in almost everything except God. I think the primary reason is because the devil does not want us to move forward.” Sumrall, Dr. Lester Pioneers of Faith (Tulsa, OK: Harrison House, 1995), 185.

Oral Roberts “I am not ashamed to declare that I believe speaking with tongues is absolutely necessary for a thrilling Christian life in today’s world!” Roberts, Oral Unleashing the Power of Praying in the Spirit (Tulsa, OK: Harrison House, 1993), 56.

A.W. Tozer “If the Holy Spirit was withdrawn from the church today, 95 percent of what we do would go on and no one would know the difference. If the Holy Spirit had been withdrawn from the New Testament church, 95 percent of what they did would stop, and everybody would know the difference.” Alan Redpath in “Christian Life” magazine. Christianity Today, Vol. 29, no. 18.

There are so many more powerful nuggets that I would love to share. But all good things must come to an end. So, to borrow from the lovable Looney Toons personality Porky Pig – “That’s All Folks” (at least for now).
