It happened yesterday morning and then again this morning. I am talking about me quoting the man who was my pastor throughout my childhood and youth, Pastor B.B. Hankins. Like many times before, in my Dream Thieves Access group meeting yesterday, I told one of Pastor Hankins’ stories that fit perfectly in our discussion about fulfilling the will of God. And then this morning while having breakfast with a friend I quoted another of his powerful statements. The wisdom and spiritual insights imparted over the years from his sermons and teachings became so much of a part of who I am. For that, I am forever grateful!

These are just too good to keep to myself. Let me share a few of them with you.

  • God loves everybody, but He doesn’t bless everybody. He blesses those who obey.
  • Don’t let fear keep you out of your promise land.
  • Whatever you need, sow that kind of seed.
  • Faith accepts as fact something that has not materialized.
  • The poorest person in the world is someone that doesn’t have anyone praying for him.
  • God can only multiply what is put in His hand.
  • Every promise from God is a revelation of what He wants to put in our lives.
  • Samuel imparted his ministry to his sons but he failed to impart godly character.
  • Prayer asks; praise takes.
  • The word of your testimony becomes the word of His power.
  • Praise fights off fear.
  • God pays for what He orders.
  • Worry is meditation on the devil’s word.
  • Speaking in tongues is a spiritual experience, not a sense experience.
  • Don’t be impatient with me. God’s not finished with me yet.
  • I’ve never seen a U-haul behind a hearse.
  • Thanks givers and praises are blessing receivers.
  • When you pray, pray the answer and not the problem.
  • A move of God happens when people start to move closer to God.
  • The anointing of the Holy Spirit will cause you to see your divine purpose.

One more thought about Pastor B.B. Hankins. You do know what the B.B. initials represent, don’t you? Here’s a hint – he was a Texan. You’ve got it – Billy Bob. Enough said!
