For many, it seems logical to think that a bottle of Wite-Out is always in close proximity when reading their Bible. (Wite-Out is a white liquid product sold for users to smear over mistakes or things that they don’t want to see or have seen.) You know what I’m talking about. When something appears while reading their Bible that doesn’t align with their denomination’s doctrine or the way their mama’s mama’s mama understood the subject, out comes the Wite-Out to remove the scripture from their sight, never to be read again.
Here is one of those what I call Wite-Outers —“These signs will follow them that believe…” I don’t even need to complete the thought, right? You’ve read these words from Mark 16:17-18 countless times and possibly can even recite them. For whatever reason, the words “follow them that believe” are terrifying. So, out comes the Wite-Out.
Whether you will own up to it or not, believers are still around. If you need proof, stop reading, go find a mirror, and take a quick glance. Yep. The Jesus-loving, born-again person reflected in the mirror is a believer. So, if believers are present today, (here is where the Wite-Out is triple-layered) then the signs and wonders mentioned in these two verses must also still be around through them. To use a colloquialism, a person would have to be blind in one eye and can’t see out of the other to deny that the Holy Spirit is still in the business of performing signs and wonders through believers.
Believer, it’s time to take some action. Go find something that is very sharp so that you can gently scrape the Wite-Out off the “These signs shall follow them that believe…”. (Be careful not to rip a hole in the page.) The next step will be to read the Blueprint Book. No, I’m not encouraging you to pull out the reading material from some sect or cult. The Blueprint Book is my new name for the Book of Acts. I got the idea after reading F.F. Bosworth’s Christ the Healer, where he writes, “The book of Acts is a blueprint by which the Holy Spirit wishes to work throughout His dispensation.” Heaven shared this book to give us a clear understanding of what can and must be the actions of believers. (Just a reminder—that’s you). Know that if we Blueprint followers (here’s our new name) do today what the Blueprint Book believers did, we will see and experience what they saw and experienced. That’s enough to get a person up on their feet dancing and shouting!
Go ahead and throw away your Wite-Out. Blueprint follower, this is our day to see “These signs shall follow them that believe…” happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
