I know that your time is limited. I want to take just two minutes of your time to remind you of a promise God made to you and your children’s ministry. Ready?
” I will pour my spirit upon thy seed,
and my blessing upon thine offspring.”
Isaiah 44:3
I love reading God’s promise from this translation …
“I will pour out my Spirit into your children
and my blessing on your descendants.”
Isaiah 44:3 (New Century Version)
Know that this wasn’t something that Isaiah promised. Nor was it the consensus of a group of leaders. God Himself made a promise to pour His precious Holy Spirit upon/into “thy”/”your” children.
I am fully aware that everything that I’ve shared so far isn’t new to you. But knowing in and of itself isn’t enough. I am sharing this post to encourage you to advance beyond the knowing and move into the doing arena. To see this promise come to pass, let me challenge you to daily remind the God who has promised to watch over His Word and perform it (Jeremiah 1:12) that boys and girls are in “thy”/”your” (place the family’s name and/or churches’ name here), which is located at (place the home/church address here) in the city of (place your city name here), desperately needing this promise to manifest. Boldly (I’d love to add “boldly” a few more times to this sentence) declare that you aren’t excluded from His “thy”/”your” promise.
Oh, and one more thing. Get ready. Know with all certainty that the promise-keeping, detail-watching God will turn His “I will” into “I have”. In the days to come, (let me insert that I’m so excited as I type the next few words) hell will have to reckon with “thy”/”your” Spirit-filled, Spirit-empowered, and Spirit-led sons and daughters. Hallelujah!
