I know that the readership of this blog is very diverse. From Google Analytics, I can see that it is being read in countries literally around the world. From readership feedback, I know that the readers come from varying church/denominational affiliations and ministry involvements. The one common denominator is that the blog is connecting with people who have a passion for the Holy Spirit and long to see Him manifest His presence just as He did in the Book of Acts. You the reader have connected with my “TODAY is the day of the Holy Ghost” and are joining with me in making this declaration as you welcome Him into your daily walk with Christ.
I shared about the diversity of the readership to give the following explanation. This is week number 12 in a blog series that has focused on insights for ushering in a much-needed move of God in children’s ministries. And, while Revolution: Settling for Nothing Less Than a Joel 2 Generation blog series is perhaps far from being a total, complete list of needed changes, I do recognize that the readership is far more than just children’s ministry leaders and volunteers. Because of this diversity, I will end this series with this blog post and move on to subjects needed by the total readership. This final insight is …
I know that the title The Exponential Explosion Factor has piqued your curiosity. In a day where many children’s ministry leaders and workers have settled for what I call “firecracker” sound effects in their classrooms, I am calling for an explosion in the realm of the Spirit as you minister that only heaven will be able to accurately record its immeasurable results.
How does this happen? Quite simply, this insight is calling for you to pray in the Spirit. This really shouldn’t have to be included in the list of needed changes because it should be a given that consistently praying in other tongues is so much a part of who you are and is an ongoing part of your daily walk with Christ. But, we all know that often what should be and what actually is happening are two different things. There is a two-fold reason for praying in the Spirit …
#1. Praying in other tongues prepares you to minister supernaturally. We both know that there is a humongous difference in dispensing Bible information and ministering with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Many teachers/leaders have settled for just giving out Bible stories and truths. But those who intertwine their spirit with the Holy Spirit by consistently, daily praying in other tongues move from the information dispensing realm into a realm of seeing the glory of God. Praying in the Spirit enables you to supernaturally connect with God (Romans 8:26-27), move beyond the limitations imposed by natural thinking (1 Corinthians 14:14), build/energize your spirit (Jude 28), and receive heaven’s timely download (1 Corinthians 14:4). I’m talking about preparing for one gigantic exponential explosion in both you and your children’s ministry!
#2 Praying in other tongues prepares the children to supernaturally receive the ministry. Just as a farmer prepares the soil before the seed is planted, children’s hearts can be supernaturally prepared for the work of the Holy Spirit as we pray in the Spirit. Praying in other tongues enables you to strategically pray the perfect will of God (Romans 8:27) about things that are mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2) and you have no knowledge (Romans 8:26). Can you see how this will exponentially change the whole dynamics of what happens in your service? You will have a supernaturally prepared person/team ministering a supernatural message to a supernaturally prepared group of boys and girls. With this Exponential Explosion Factor activated, the supernatural will be in full force!!!
Children’s Pastor, pray in the Spirit. Sunday school teacher, pray in the Spirit. Bible club leader, pray in the Spirit. Nursery leader, pray in the Spirit. An exponential explosion in the heavenlies is waiting for those who will ignite the fuse through this kind of prayer.
I’m settling for nothing less than a Joel 2 Generation. How about you? Let me hear from you about how that you are implementing these revolution insights. [email protected]
