I absolutely love the opportunities that Vickie and I have had recently to minister the Jesus the Healer Rallies. In each service, I am reminded that when we magnify the truth that Jesus is the healer, He shows up to demonstrate and validate the claim…and believe me, He does show up!
As great as these single services are, I wish, I wish, I wish that I had more than one service to share about the healing Jesus. Among the extra services, I would love to have a service to minister to those who have heard the death sentence words “I’m sorry to inform you that your condition is at a Stage 4 level”. It needs to be made known that heaven has an answer for a Stage 4 diagnosis.
In sharing about heaven’s answer, I would have to share about the “Miss Grant Anointing”. Let me explain. Back a million, billion years ago, when one of my 9th-grade teachers, Miss Grant would reach her breaking point in the classroom’s behavior, she would squarely look us in our eyes and with a little bit of growl in her voice say, “Doncha’ nevah’, evah’ do that again” and then she’d cock her head to the side and with an extra dose of attitude convincingly repeat, “Doncha’ nevah’, evah’ do that again.” Immediately, things changed.
Not too long ago, it dawned upon me that God’s plan for bringing about a total, complete healing was seen in my days sitting in Miss Grant’s classroom. Little did I recognize back then that my teacher was demonstrating the way to put an end to Satan’s attacks. Those labeled as terminal can stare at the face of death, cock their head to the side with an attitude of defiant confidence, and put a heapin’ helpin’ of growl in their voice as they inform Satan that his days of gripping their hearts with lies (John 8:44) and deception (Revelation 12:9) are over, finished, kaput! And, with a boldness that comes from the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8), they can take it a faith-filled step and tell him, “Doncha’ nevah’, evah’ do that again”. From this day forward, change is on its way because Satan’s torment has been replaced with God’s infallible, unchanging Word.
When disturbing thoughts and fears bombard your mind, let that Miss Grant Anointing come on you. With attitude and a growl, inform Satan that…
* God gives me GOOD things, and this disease isn’t included in “good”.
Psalm 84:11 “…no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”
(Easy-to-Read Version) “…The Lord freely gives every good thing to those who do what is right.”
* God’s Word says that my life is to be a lllllooooonnnnnggggg life!
Psalm 91:16 “With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”
(New Century Version) “I will give them a long, full life, and they will see how I can save.”
* Heaven has declared that the funeral home will have to wait to handle my funeral service.
Psalm 107:20 “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
(Good News Translation) “He healed them with his command and saved them from the grave.”
* God’s Word for me is LIVE not DIE. I have works to testify about for years to come!
Psalm 118:17 “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.”
(Bible in Basic English) “Life and not death will be my part, and I will give out the story of the works of the Lord.”
* God says that there is a payday for honoring my parents – a long, full life!
Ephesians 6:2-3 “Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”
(The Passion Translation) “For the commandment, “Honor your father and your mother,” was the first of the Ten Commandments with a promise attached: “You will prosper and live a long, full life if you honor your parents.”
Oh, and one more thought – the more growl in your voice and attitude shown the better. Let ole’ slewfoot have it as you rejoice and begin your dance of victory!!!
Good word my friend!
Mike, thank you. In a day where ministers are still debating the healing power of Christ, I am thankful for a sure, unchanging Christ who is the same yesterday and today and forever. He is still the Great Physician.
