They say that honesty is good for the soul. And so, it’s time for some honesty. Even on my best day, I fall far short in what is needed to fulfill my heavenly assignment. It’s true. Even with the giftings and talents that I have, I honestly don’t have within me the ability to make a lasting change in this world. There, I feel better having made that confession.

And so, do I just lay down and moan and groan knowing that I can’t and never will be able to fulfill my destiny? Do I just give up on life?

No. A thousand times no. Thankfully, long ago, I discovered a truth shared by the apostle Paul.

“So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid
and bears us up in our weakness …”

Romans 8:26 (The Amplified Bible)

2_Divine-Intervention-series-graphicThank God for the Holy Spirit. Through His divine intervention and help, He constantly comes alongside of me and makes up for my weaknesses and inadequacies. Through His intercession, this weak, limited children’s pastor is able to supernaturally deal with areas in children’s lives that even their parents aren’t aware. It is only because “the Holy Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up …” that I will be able to fulfill my assignment. Again I say, thank God for the Holy Spirit.
