In case you haven’t discovered in the last 8+ years of my writing this blog, I love the Holy Spirit. He constantly amazes me. Here’s an example of the Holy Spirit at work …
While reading the Word the other day, the Holy Spirit interrupted my reading to share a simple and yet powerful truth. Mind you, this had nothing to do with what I was reading. But, in His defense, it is His job to teach me, bring things that I already know to the forefront of my mind, reveal the Father’s thoughts, etc. (John 14:26; John 16:13) at any given time. Here is what He told me … God is an ALL God. Simple right? So simple that we can overlook it. Consider this …
* Salvation … God doesn’t want anyone to perish. He wants ALL to turn from their sin and accept His gift of salvation. (2 Peter 3:9)
* Forgiveness … God desires to forgive ALL of our sins so that we can have a pure relationship with Him. (Psalm 103:3; 1 John 1:9)
* Healing … God loves us so much that He desires to heal ALL of our diseases. (Psalm 103:3; Acts 10:38)
* Baptism of the Holy Spirit … God wants ALL of His children receive this gift. (Joel 2:28-29; Acts 2:4; Acts 2:16-18; Acts 2:38-39)
* Provision … God has a full supply ready and waiting to meet ALL of our needs. (Philippians 4:19)
* Protection … God has dispersed His angels to surround and protect us in ALL of our ways. (Psalm 91:11)
According to these verses, there are no ifs, ands, or buts about it, God is an ALL God. (I could add many more verses to those listed above that contain the same truth but are lacking the actual word “all”.) The Word shows that there is no room for twisting or changing this reality. It’s not some or just a few … it’s ALL!
As a fellow children’s/student ministry leader, I ask you to take this simple truth and insure that it becomes a solid part of the spiritual foundation of the children/youth in your ministry. So simple. So important. So needed. Every child must know that without exception EVERY person can be born again, cleansed from every sin, healed of every disease and malady, filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, walk in full provision and supply, and have the peace of mind that comes from knowing that angels are surrounding us and protecting us.
There is much more that I could add, but it isn’t needed. The Holy Spirit can explode this truth in your spirit just as He did my spirit. Let it be known, thank God for an ALL God!!!
