I often have people ask me why is there no mighty move of God in their ministry. We know that it’s their desire and probably the desire of everybody working alongside of them. But, reality is, it’s just not there. The answer is quite simple. Let me give it to you through a simple story.
This is a story about four people named EVERYBODY, SOMEBODY, NOBODY, and ANYBODY.
There was an important job to be done and EVERYBODY was sure that SOMEBODY would do it. ANYBODY could have done it, but NOBODY did it. SOMEBODY got angry about that because it was EVERYBODY’S job. EVERYBODY thought ANYBODY could do it, but NOBODY realized that EVERYBODY wouldn’t do it. It ended up that EVERYBODY blamed SOMEBODY when NOBODY did what ANYBODY could have done.
Did the story give the answer to the question posed by so many? Moves of God always begin with an individual. In other words, it always begins with SOMEBODY. That SOMEBODY doesn’t have to a person of leadership or some aged, spiritual giant. It can be ANYBODY. But, sadly, EVERYBODY is waiting on SOMEBODY to pay the price to open the windows of heaven. Consequently, because NOBODY is paying that price, the windows remain shut.
After sharing the story with these individuals, I always answer their question with a question. Are they willing to be that person? Again, revival always begins with a person, not a committee. It begins with one.
My question to you is, will you be that person? And, lastly, if not now, then when? My prayer for you is, “Lord, let there be a mighty outpouring of your Spirit and may it begin with the person reading this blog. May that outpouring begin today. I ask it in the precious name of Jesus. Amen!”
