Before I share a single thought, let me go old school (whatever that means) and tell you to put on your shouting clothes. You’re gonna’ need them because this blog post, if applied, is guaranteed to bring about a time of shouting and rejoicing.

Here’s the thought … Student ministry leader, Sunday school teacher, children’s church leader/worker, mid-week Bible club leader BEFORE you walk into your ministry opportunity (also known as the battle against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places … Ephesians 6:12), spend time preparing for supernatural results (also known as the win … 2 Corinthians 10:4). Business man before you go into that critical meeting, spend time preparing for the desired results. Parent before you have that much-needed “discussion” with your child, spend time preparing for what will bring about the much-needed change.

What is the preparation? Pray in the Spirit. It is through our praying in other tongues that the Holy Spirit, the One who knows what lies ahead (John 16:13), is invited to help or, better yet, to come into real partnership and cooperation (Romans 8:26) and join arm-in-arm in intercession with us for the fulfillment of the perfect will of God (Romans 8:27). Being filled with the Holy Spirit and utilizing the benefits that come through Spirit-empowered praying will give you the supernatural advantage over the adversary (John 16:7) and deliver the victory.

This may sound way too simplistic. Praying in the Spirit BEFORE? Is it really that big of a deal? All that I can say is that seeing is believing. By that I mean, seeing it in God’s Word and then acting upon it will cause you to see the desired results. Start now and continue day-by-day preparation. Go ahead and start the shouting and rejoicing. The “win” is waiting on you!
