I will venture to say that each and every reader of this blog post has some sort of smartphone. And, if you are like me, you have it maxed out with apps to shop, listen to podcasts, read the Bible, check emails and text messages, and challenge your brain with fun games. But, as great as the smartphone and apps might be, both are totally worthless without the needed power.
Need I tell how this applies to us as Christians? It is super, super easy to explain. We too are dependent upon a power that enables us to be what God wants us to be and do what He wants us to do. How do we obtain this power? According to Luke 24:49 and Acts 1:8, this power comes when the Person that I call the Super Charger, Super Energizer comes. This power is ours for the asking. Please take a few minutes to read the first five chapters of Acts to learn about receiving the 60/60/24/365 Holy Spirit and discover what He can and will do through a Spirit-filled believer.

The Holy Spirit – Our Super Charger, Super Energizer
Luke 24:49
KJV – And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
BECK – I am sending you Him whom My Father promised. Wait here in the city till you are armed with power from above.
GSP – And I will send down upon you what my Father has promised. Wait here in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.
TPT – And I will send the fulfillment of the Father’s promise to you. So stay here in the city until the mighty power of heaven falls upon you and wraps around you.
VOICE – So I am sending My Father’s promise to you. Stay in the city until you receive it—until power from heaven comes upon you.
Acts 1:8
KJV – But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
AMP – But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth. Judea, and in Samaria, and into the extremity of the earth.
GNT – But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
WUE – But you will receive power of the kind which God has and exerts after the Holy Spirit has come upon you. And you shall be those who testify of what they have seen and experienced, my witnesses, both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea and in Samaria and to the end of the earth.
