August is party time around the Burns household. First, this month Vickie and I are celebrating 39 years of marriage. Many of this blog’s readers have met Vickie at one of our Ignite the Supernatural Conferences or Ignite & Unite Conferences and know that when I say that she is the most beautiful, sweet, loving, caring, Jesus-loving (should I continue?) ladies in the whole world, that I am not bragging … I am telling the honest to goodness truth. I am one blessed man!!!
Also, this month we are celebrating the 9th anniversary of this blog. When our oldest son Jason suggested that I write this blog, I thought that it would a waste of time. Boy was I wrong. I can’t even begin to imagine the number of people that have read at least one of the over 480 blog posts that I have written. I know for a fact that people from over 80 nations have read the blog, countries including Israel, Philippines, India, Germany, Egypt, Australia, Iraq, England, Kenya, Canada, Jamaica, Poland, Colombia, Ireland, Brazil, Fiji, Mexico, Italy … just to name a few. I honestly don’t know of any other ministry that has written insights about having a relationship with the Holy Spirit and how to work together with Him week after week for nine consecutive years. It’s been a privilege to announce over and over and over again, “TODAY is the day of the Holy Ghost”.
This month of celebration reflects on God’s goodness and grace. Vickie and I have enjoyed 39 years of a happy, blessed marriage because Jesus has lived in our home and not treated as a visitor. The continuance and vast readership of this blog post is due one hundred million percent to the Father’s passionate desire for today’s Church to be Spirit-filled, Spirit-equipped, Spirit-empowered, and Spirit-led.
