Here’s a startling revelation. The days of signs, wonders, and miracles are over. Yes, you did read it correctly. Those days ended centuries ago. You don’t have to spend much time searching the internet and/or watching numerous sermons on YouTube to learn this reality. (I really did write the word “reality”.) And, to these individuals espousing this teaching, I say that they are absolutely, undeniably 100% correct. Yes, the days of the display of God’s miracle-working power are completely ancient history. Oh, let me complete my thought by adding two words to that last sentence. Yes, the days of the display of God’s miracle-working power are completely ancient history FOR THEM. I couldn’t agree more. They will NEVER see these manifestations of God’s glory in or through them.

Wait, that’s not the end of this post. While for these individuals the signs, wonders, and miracles may be relics of days gone by, I am convinced that these manifestations of the glory of God are one million percent (is that percentage a real mathematical possibility?) real, current, and available today to and through individuals like you and me. Am I confusing you? Why is there a NO for them and a YES for us? The answer to this question is found in Mark 16:17. (Please pull out your Bible and verify that this is actually in the Bible.) It says, “And these signs shall follow them that believe…” Signs, wonders, and miracles are reserved for those who believe and we are believers! So again, NO for them, YES for people like you and me.

Let me give you a bullet list of reasons why signs, wonders, and miracles are readily available and so needed today. Read through the gospels and the Book of Acts and you will find that:

  • They always bring glory to God.
  • They deliver the individual from Satan’s oppression and strongholds.
  • They serve as God’s advertising tool to spread the good news of the gospel.
  • They stir the faith of believers.
  • They open the eyes and hearts of those who don’t believe.
  • They liberate the Church from having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.
  • They impact the lives of our children and grandchildren (household).
  • They bring about Church growth as new believers are added to the Lord daily.

Can you deny that these byproducts of God’s power are needed today just as they were in the Bible days? Can you deny that this sighing, crying, and dying world needs people filled with the compassion and power of God?

I know that you have read and heard me declare so often “TODAY is the day of the Holy Ghost”. Today, I want to personalize this by adding two words to this profound declaration. “TODAY is the day of the Holy Ghost THROUGH ME.” “And these signs shall follow them that believe…” (Mark 16:17). Is this your declaration?
