Let me ask a favor. Would you please take a few seconds to raise your right hand and place it in front of your face? Look closely at your right hand. Now, you can lower your hand. But wait, the favor asking isn’t over. Now, would you take a few seconds to raise your left hand and place it in front of your face? Once again, look closely at the left hand. Okay, you can put it back down. Favor done and task completed.
Confused? What am I up to? Honestly, I am not playing a game of Simon Says. Believe it or not, I am checking whether you have what it takes to witness God’s healing power at work in those who are hurting.
By now, you are probably ahead of me and know where I am going in this post. We read in Mark 16:17-18 that Jesus (you can’t get any more authoritative than that) said that believers (that’s you and me), who have hands (again, that’s you and me), can place those hands (that’s the ones that you just examined) upon the sick and know that the sick shall recover.
My purpose for sharing this post is to challenge believers (again, you are included in this group) to use their hands for their intended purpose. There is a sighing, crying, dying world waiting for God’s healing power to flow through your hands. Let’s obey His directive and watch Him fulfill His promise.
Enough said.
