16 Dec A Move of God

In E.G. Carre's Praying Hyde, Apostle of Prayer, there is a quote by Charles Finney that says “A revival is no more a miracle than a crop of wheat.” In other words, moves of God don't just happen. There is a preparation on man's part in order to see the harvest. In 2014, Vickie and I left a ministry position in a church so that we can travel from church to church to initiate the “man part” of a move of God. I love to call our “man part” as being a door opener for the Holy Spirit. The results of our Holy Spirit Rallies and Ignite & Unite Conferences is that people are touched by God's power and churches are changed. We would love to see this happen in your church. Would you speak to your church leadership and ask them to contact us? We are just a phone call (561.827.9325) or email (billy@billyburns.com) away. ...

07 May Revival in YOUR Children & Children’s Ministry

God promised that He would pour out His Spirit upon our children. Vickie and I are declaring that His promise is true for YOUR children and it will happen in 2016!  How can this happen? Through our 3-hour, Saturday morning Ignite & Unite Conferences, we want to train and equip those ministering in your Nursery, Sunday School, Children's Church, Mid-Week Bible Clubs, and Student Ministries to work together with the Holy Spirit. Why is this important? We are convinced that those working in your ministries want a move of God but just don't know how to flow with the Holy Spirit. Through the conference, we can place them on the launching pad for a move of God's Spirit. Here is what is covered in the conference: * The Danger of the Status Quo * The Holy Spirit on Assignment * The 10 Commandments of the Supernatural * Flowing with the Anointing And, this is what I love the most about the conference ...

21 Jul The Nations are Waiting

Please do me a favor and forgive my excitement. I'm having trouble containing myself. Knowing that we know that we know that we have heard from God, are moving 100% in His will and timing, and are seeing confirmation after confirmation that God has originated this new season of ministry causes me to need restraints to confine my anticipation. We know that we are in for the ride of our lives, living out a dream that is beyond our comprehension.   Here is the latest update. I'll use some restraint and squeeze it into a super short summary. I could literally write paragraph after paragraph about how God has put the pieces of this puzzle together. We are leaving our ministry and the wonderful volunteer staff and children in the hands of a great couple, Pastors Andy and Kristine VanDerLinden, (a story in itself on how God miraculously connected us to these outstanding children's pastors), sold our South Florida home in just THREE short days, found the perfect home in a seller's market (this means that homes are snatched up as soon as they are put on the market usually with multiple bids for the home even above the asking price) in North Richland Hills, Texas and we got it BELOW the asking price (even though there were other offers). I could keep going and going and going. We've moved into our home and are "enjoying" unpacking boxes. After a short time of rest, we will step into this new assignment and begin to travel full time conducting our Ignite the Supernatural Conferences, write books and publish curriculums, and preach in churches. We know that there is one more great move of God and we plan on being one of the igniters of this outpouring of God's Spirit.   I know that I clearly heard the Holy Spirit say, "The nation is waiting on you. The nations (plural) are waiting." Your church, city or country could be one of those places. To find out how this could happen, we are just an email away.   Again I want to thank you for partnering together with us in prayer and giving to enable us to step into this assignment.  To partner with us, you can give through our secure web site....

30 Jun God is Waiting

A few months ago, Vickie and I had the opportunity to enjoy a few days with our children and grandchildren up in central Florida. One afternoon, I got to participate in one of my all time favorite activities, playing my grandson Joey (6-years-old) some wicked games of  Tic-Tac-Toe. I say wicked because Joey is always determined to be the winner. This makes playing the games super fun because, if you are a grandparent, you can identify with the joy of constantly looking for new, creative ways to allow your grandchildren to win the game. For me, there's absolutely nothing more exciting than to see Joey do his victory dance as I mourn another loss.   This week, I've been reminded over and over again of an element found in the game of Tic-Tac-Toe. The game can't progress until you make your move. Without some activity on your part, the game will be stalled forever. If you've read my last Billy Burns Ministries newsletter , then you are "in the know" and are aware that for us, God had made His move by giving us a clear, unmistakable directive to leave behind 25 years of being the children's pastor at an incredible church so that we can launch out as full time evangelists and conduct our Ignite the Supernatural Conferences and preach in churches nationally and internationally. We've recognized His move and chosen to make our move. We've recognized that His unfulfilled directive will die within us in some way off distant future unless we take the initiative and make a gigantic step of faith to step into this new season of ministry.   Let me wrap up this blog by quoting a statement that Joey makes from time to time in our Tic-Tac-Toe games, "Papa, it's your turn. You're not paying attention." I'm writing on behalf of God today. He wants to notify you that it's your turn. He has clearly, undeniably made His move. You just haven't been paying attention. Now, go ahead and make your bold move. (And, here's a head's up. His move has set you up to win!)   One more note ...

23 Jun A Gigantic, Humongous Announcement!

I've been leading into this blog post for several weeks. It's time to put the blog posts together to make this huge announcement. After 25 years of being the Children's Pastors at one of the greatest churches in the nation, Vickie and I are obeying the leading of the Holy Spirit and have resigned so that we obey God's directive. Beginning in July, we will travel full time as evangelists and ignite the fire of the Holy Spirit in our nation and around the globe. Vickie and I will devote our full attention to conducting the Ignite the Supernatural Conferences, preaching in churches, and writing and producing curriculums and books. Is this a sudden decision? No. We've known for some time that God was launching us into this assignment. But, we had to wait for God's timing. We've all seen people who clearly heard from God and yet missed His timing. Timing is everything. We know that we know that we know that now is the time. We've clearly heard from God, "The nation is waiting for you. The nations (plural) are waiting." You and I know that the need for a move of God's Spirit is so great. And yet, we aren't leaving our position as a Children's Pastor because of a need. We are leaving because of a directive. We've heard from God, we know His timing, and we will follow His leadership step by step. It's amazing how God has confirmed the gigantic move over and over again. After telling the leadership of our church, God performed a miracle in helping Vickie and I to quickly find a great couple to become Trinity's new Children's Pastors. (That's an incredible story in itself!) Our Florida home had a buyer in 3 days. We located the perfect home in North Richland Hills, Texas (yes, we are moving back to TEXAS!) in just 2 days and will be moving in a few short weeks. People and churches are already coming alongside of us to partner with us financially to enable us to travel. It's piece after piece of the puzzle joining together to showcase God's miracle working power. I would ask four things of you...
